Today was preparation for my second half. First I was mapping out my next stages all the way down to Tallahassee, the capital of Florida:
I do it with Google Maps which recently added a cycling feature that also comes with the route profile. The good thing is, that I can transfer all the mapping directly to my phone. Very convenient. The print outs are just for reference.
After this, I tried to control my tire pressure but was running into some issues with the valve. We decided to have it checked out at Bikesmith in Memphis. I had the rear tube exchanged. Just in case. After learning that I ride for charity, Jim from Bikesmith didn’t charge anything for the tube and checking on my bike:
Thank you so much for your generosity. There are so many good and friendly people on this route. It is absolutely amazing.
Finally I waved good bye to my wife Carole. Thanks for joining me in Memphis. I very much enjoyed the few days and I am looking forward to seeing you in Naples❤️:
